Small and medium enterprises (SME) can access $2 million in grants as part of a new round of funding under the State Government’s Local Capability Fund.

The State Government has announced three new rounds worth a total of $2 million to assist local businesses secure contracts.

Aboriginal business

Grants of up to $50,000 are available under the Aboriginal Business Round, which aims to provide Aboriginal businesses with funding support to enhance their capacity as suppliers to government and the private sector.

Businesses can secure grants for up to 75 per cent of the cost of an eligible activity to a maximum of $50,000.

Applications close September 20, 2021.

Key projects

SMEs can access grants of up to $50,000 to assist in supplying to projects identified in the State Government’s $11.84 billion Pipeline of Work initiative.

Among these 639 projects under the continually updated four-year list are METRONET, East Perth Power Station, Fremantle harbour and King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Businesses can access 75 per cent of costs for an eligible project under the funding round.

SMEs can secure grants of up to $20,000 to help fund the costs of engaging external experts to implement third party certification of national and international standards.

Eligible parties under the National and International Standards Compliance Round can access 75 per cent of eligible costs up to a maximum of $20,000.

Applications close January 31, 2022.
